Running Away into the Desert with Gracie & Alisha

For those who don't know, I grew up in Northern Iowa, basically Minnesota. So that means flat, fields and fields of corn, lakes and of course, lots of snow. So when my husband and I moved to Southern Utah after living out on the humid east coast, you can imagine that there was a bit of adjustment period. But wow, have grown such a love for the arid desert. The wide array of colors and patterns in the rock truly take my breath away every time! So when it was time to take Gracie & Alisha's engagement pictures down in Snow Canyon State Park, I was pumped!

It will never not be amazing to me how much and how quickly the scenery can change in the desert, you can go from red rock, sand dunes, lava rock, and white rock! This is so fun when it comes to shooting because you can really get such a variety of pictures!

We really hit the jackpot when it came to the weather this day, the temperature was perfect, and the light was INSANE! We had the most beautiful, glowy golden light for the first half of our shoot and you best believe I was soaking up all of those gorgeous sun flares!

As the sun started to go down, we made our way over to the sand dunes and Gracie and Alisha were real troopers because that sand was COLD! It was actually insane how cold it had gotten, haha! I had them run around partially because it was cute, and partially to keep them warm! And my goodness, it they're just the cutest. Gracie and Alisha are such an amazing, sweet, funny, playful, and tender pair. I am always so honored to witness others' love up close and personal and it truly was such a treat to see Gracie and Alisha's love was so special.

Like I said earlier, we hit the absolute jackpot with weather this day and we were so lucky to get the most gorgeous sunset and colorful sky everrrr! It was the perfect way to wrap up this dream session! So much love for these two!
